In Dublin, Ireland

Whew! After a long trip on the planes and with jet lag not working in our favor, we made it to Dublin. It has felt like many hours, although the time on the first plane (10 hours) effectively served as our night.

Our introduction to Dublin was rather cold, rainy, dreary conditions. We were prepared though! We made it to our hostel with hardly any problems at all, except a slight delay in getting our baggage.

At our hostel, we have met a couple of people also traveling. One of the best parts of traveling - especially in hostels - is meeting the people. So far the highlights are Texas John and Jen the Trinity attendee. Unfortunately, our time is too limited to really create any lasting relationships.

Our highlights for today were going to the original Guinness Storehouse (actually rather impressive), eating dinner at a popular Irish pub (Brazen Head), and then strolling through the Temple Bar area, a popular section of Dublin. Tomorrow we have another exciting day in Dublin and then it is off to Wales and Scotland. Compared to my last trip, this one is going to go very quickly.
